[dog] and [pony] hits the streets!

So, you may not have heard about this, but [dog] and [pony] is hosting a little DVD release party. There's going to be a bunch of sweet bands.

Frankly, Nick and I are pretty excited.

And today we hit the streets, spreading the Good News.

Pimp Convention

We walked across town starting at the Northstar and just sorta wandering back to the West End. Next time, we'll have a detailed plan about what points to hit as opposed to just sorta... sprayin' our posters all over the town. We'll also remember to bring tape. We thought we were all clever with a shiny new staple gun and a handful of tacks, but it turns out that many businesses have smooth glass windows. And they don't appreciate you scratchin' 'em up with rough staplinz.

We also found that sometimes, there'd be no room left on the poster board. Just once, Nick and I were feeling clever. Rolled up half a copy of Switch, stapled that to the back of the board, then stapled our flyer to the extension.

Friggin' Genius

Now, as Nick and I strolled down Congress, papering our last joints, we stumbled across a poster in Coast City Comics. The poster was pimping a little event called Picnic. Putting up our poster next to it, we realized what you should do.

You Should Make a Day of It

And the icing on the cake? When we came home, we found that the sweet l'il DVD had been delivered. The whole point of the postering, I guess, 'ceptin' for all the sweet music, of course.

The Reason for the Season

I'm trying to say, Portland, we're getting pretty excited.
