Record Store Day Excitement

I'm getting pretty excited for Record Store Day 2010. It's coming up April 17th. Of course, I'll be spending my money at Bull Moose, definitely on The Black Keys' release and likely on several other options (Bon Iver and Peter Gabriel? Gorillaz? Tom Waits?). There are about a dozen albums on there that just look too sweet to pass up.
But most importantly, I'll be visiting my local record stores. That's right, this year Portland is boasting more than just Bull Moose is offering promotions mid-April. Sounds Absurd - the new vinyl shop on Oak Street - will also be getting in on the action.
I've only been in there once, but it seemed sweet. It'll be worth a visit once we finally get our record player hooked up. [dog] and [pony] studios moved back in August and still hasn't really unpacked properly yet.
And there're also record stores to consider that are just awesome in general, separate of Record Store Day. Make sure to visit Enterprise Records, too. It's on Congress Street right next to Blue. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, there's R. Crumb and scratched vinyl on the walls. Free records are put in boxes out front every week - although those are often snatched up and shattered by late night hooligans.
They've even given me suggestions on carving up ruined records. The secret is to score the record and then break it.
So celebrate Record Store Day. Go out and get some of the cool promotions. Find participating shops in your area. But on the other hand - don't forget to frequent the other shops in your neighborhood.
Anyone have any celebratory plans for Record Store Day?
